| About | EDMOND, OK: Kay Elaine Schumacher went home to heaven on July 4, 2011. She was born on April 24, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio to Edward and Bonnie Jean (Blizzard) Dittmar. She graduated from Lash High School in Zanesville and graduated from Miami of Ohio University where she was a member of the Tri-Sigma sorority. She married her husband, Richard Schumacher, on September 26, 1959. Kay and Dick lived in Columbus, Ohio; Washington D.C.; McGee, Miss.; and Midland, Texas before settling in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she enjoyed her bridge club and sorority alumni meetings. In 1985 they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma where she and her husband were members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Dick; and by her three daughters, Teresa Daly of Naperville, Illinois and her husband, Hugh, Tamara Schumacher-Konick of Plano, Texas and her husband, Steve, and Tracy Schumacher Stewart of Norman and her husband, Wade; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan and Madeline Daly and Jake and Reagan Stewart. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. |
