About | Kay E. Bottomley, age 75 of Sunbury, passed away Monday afternoon December 14, 2015 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. She was born on May 9, 1940 in Zanesville to the late Rudolph and Hazel (Painter) Russi. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post No. 8736 and was a retired secretary in insurance, law and real estate offices and her last employment was as customer service representative for Hargray Telephone in Hilton Head, SC. Kay was most proud of her sons and cherished time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Spending time with them made her happy as a wife mother and grandmother. Kay enjoyed painting with oils and water colors. She is survived by her husband of 23 years: Tom Bottomley and they were married March 17, 1992 in Hilton Head; sons: Michael (Emily) Vagnier of Chandler, AZ, Timothy (Cindy) Vagnier of Worthington, Vernon Todd (Carolyn) Vagnier of Lewis Center; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister Barbara (Carl Dean) Rector of Zanesville; father of her sons: Vernon Vagnier of Dublin. Friends may call Monday from 12-1 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Minister Todd Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunbury Memorial Park. |
