About Kenneth Gordon Dunn, 85, of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville, after a fall at his home. He was born June 10, 1936, in Zanesville, a son of the late Clarence Gordon and Eileen (Kincheloe) Dunn. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from General Electric after forty-five years of employment. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church for almost seventy years, and a member of LaFayette Lodge #79 F&AM, Amrou Grotto # 45, Charity Newsies, Muskingum Valley Old-Timers Baseball Association, VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and Zanesville Athletic Boosters. He was also an East Tiger's Football coach, a loyal Cleveland Brown's and Ohio State Football fan, and a YMCA Soccer Program originator. Ken was a blood donor for the American Red Cross providing 122 units (15 gallons and 2 units) since records were kept beginning in 1991.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Mary Elizabeth (Wilson) Dunn whom he married June 8, 1961; his three children, Anne (Marvin) Troendly, Eileen (Eric) Zech, and Tim (Erin) Dunn; eight grandchildren, Joey (Alexis) and Jacob (Samantha) Troendly, Elizabeth, Elliott, Ryan and Adam Zech, and Madeline and Mason Dunn; two great-granddaughters, Ryleigh and Hannah Troendly; a brother, Tom (Cheri) Dunn; and a sister, Rebecca Abele.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friends and family may also call one hour prior to funeral services to be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 116 North 7th Street, Zanesville, with Rev. Mark Combs officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville where full Military Honors accorded to him by the United States Navy, VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
