| About | Kenneth Lyle Shelly, 87, of Zanesville, passed away at 6:50 am Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center E. R. He was born April 25, 1925 in Zanesville, the son of the late Ralph and Gladys Pace Shelly. He was formerly employed by Armco Steel and was former owner operator of S & H Auto Detailers. He retired as maintenance superintendant for Muskingum County. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Honor Lodge F & AM., Zanesville V.F.W. post 1058 and American Legion Post #29. His hobby and true love was racing harness horses around Ohio and at Muskingum County Fairgrounds. He is survived by his wife Marilyn O'Neill Shelly; daughter, Karen (Gary) Havens; son, Rick (Janet) Shelly; two grandchildren, Shelly Willey and Allison Pruden; two great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren;half sister, Donna Jean Denham of California; step-sister,Margaret Hamler of Zanesville and two special nephews In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Wayne Shelly. |
