About Kevin W. Dickson, 59, of Dresden, died Wednesday morning, September 25, 2024, at Altercare of Coshocton, with his loving mother by his side.

Born October 29, 1964, at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, he is a son of Wayne Dickson and Janet M. (McClintock) Dickson and a 1984 graduate of Zanesville High School. Kevin was a practical jokester and had a great sense of humor, always telling blind jokes or slipping comments in when he could. He lived life to the fullest with his family, specifically his nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews. Kevin enjoyed Sunday night BINGO at West Muskingum, dressing as Santa Claus at Christmas time, and never missing a homecoming or parade in Dresden, Adamsville, or Frazeysburg. He was the founders of the REACT in Dresden over 30 years ago and an honorary fireman for the Dresden Fire Department. Kevin wanted to help others, he did demonstrations and taught children in Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts how to live life and maintain independency while being blind.

Surviving is his mother, Janet M. (McClintock) Dickson; father, Wayne (Marsha) Dickson; brother, Eric (Debbie) Dickson; four nieces and nephews, Kyle Dickson, Kelsey (Justin) Untied, Trever Dickson, and Grace Dickson; great nieces and nephews, Weston Untied, Jaxon Untied, Edyn & Krew Dickson; his service dog, Branson; and very close friend, James Dennis & his children, Leo & Isabell.

Kevin was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Joseph & Mary McClintock; paternal grandparents, John Dickson & Dorothy Glass; an uncle, Wayne McClintock; and his first service dog, Nelson.

Friends and family may visit Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 2:00pm – 5:00pm, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, September 30, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Wells officiating.

Kevin will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery.
