Smith Sr., 54, of Zanesville, had his "sunset" at 1:18pm, Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at the Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care and his sunrise was on September 29, 1960 in Zanesville, OH. "Hoss" was employed at Ohio University / Zane State for over 22 years, has been a member for over 40 years and past president of the Only Ones Motorcycle Club and he enjoyed motorcycle riding and hunting. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn (Norris) Smith of Zanesville; his wife of 33 years, Kimberly S. (Edwards) Smith; three children, Lance (Sarah) Smith II, Craig (Krishawna) Smith and Latawnya Brown; 13 grandchildren, Lance III, Brooklyn, Xavier, Tyren, Amari, Makiah, Craig II, Malakhi, Shyren, Dacian, Brian, Tiajah, Joshiah; and two great grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Jamie (Tim) Mathie, Perry (Jill) Smith, Teresa Allender, Greg (Sue) Johnson, Kelly ("Bill") McCord, Robin (Patty) Smith, Lori Johnson, Deanna (Tim) McKenzie, and Wendy Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. "Hoss" was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Larry and Violet Johnson; a brother, Larry Lee Johnson Jr.; and an infant sister. Friends may call 5 to 8pm Sunday, January 11th at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 12th at the Wings of Hope Tabernacle with one hour visitation prior to service. Burial will conclude at the Woodlawn Cemetery. |
