| About | Lawrence “Larry” D. Fulkerson Jr., 71 of Zanesville, died at 3:35 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born on Saturday, July 28, 1945 in Newark, Ohio the son of Lawrence “Larry” D. Fulkerson, Sr. and Louise B. (Binkley) Fulkerson. Larry graduated from Zanesville High School, he was a United States Navy Veteran, graduate of the Ohio State Barber College. He worked at Vaughn’s and Midland Barber Shop for many years and was also employed with Dick Love Real Estate and the Western & Southern Life Insurance Company for many years. Larry especially enjoyed his music, playing the guitar and was active in the Barber Shop Quartet in the Zanesville. He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca “Becca” (Toby Wills) Fulkerson of Newark, a son Matthew “Matt” (Vicki) Fulkerson of Zanesville; two grandsons, Zack Antonetz and Bryan Fulkerson. Larry was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by wife, Sue Ellen (Bryan) Fulkerson and his two sisters; Ramonda Ann Armstrong and Karen S. Fulkerson Marshall Friends may call 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday May 21, 2017 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. where funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday May 22 with Pastor Sarah Juist officiating. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. |
