About | Lawrence G. "Larry" Holsky, 74 of Zanesville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 13, 2010 at his home. He was born on July 13, 1936 in Zanesville to the late Theodore and Daisy Sandifur Holsky. He graduated from Lash High School and joined the US Navy in 1954. He was employed at Zanesville Stoneware and went on to retire from Grief Brothers after 34 years of dedicated service. He was a member of The American Legion Post 29 and a former member of the Zanesville Jaycee's. He enjoyed working with children and the Special Olympics. Larry was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and was an avid Golfer. He also touched many lives as a coach and mentor in the Maysville Youth League. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and blessed the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Schneider Holsky; a son, Eric (Teresa) Holsky; a daughter, Erin (Scott) Webb all of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Paige Webb, Parker Webb, and Natalie Holsky; four sisters, Betty Ann Mendenhall, Alice Wright, Bev (George) Wright, and Sandy (Ronnie) Fisher. One brother, Ted (Connie) Holsky; a brother-in-law, Fred (Christy) Schneider of Blue Rock; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved and faithful dog, Maddie. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. |
