| About | From "gofundme.com", posted by his family: My Dad, Larry Finan, passed away on The morning of Tuesday, June 20th. He had a heart attack the day before while walking our dog, Boots, and was taken to the Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. He hung in there and fought hard for the next 18hours, but God decided to take him home. My Dad was a great man, helpful friend, and a loving husband and father. He helped out everyone he could, and if he didn't have the answer, he was always known to go find it for you, and he learned something himself in doing so. While I know that all of you would like to pay your respects, and say goodbye to my Dad one last time, It is my family's decision at this time, that it will be a private cremation. It is what my Dad would have wanted. At a later time, we will think about having a celebration of life for him. We are not sure at this time the exact amount that the hospital will be charging, due to the extensive measures taken to try and save him. My family is requesting that in lieu of flowers or food sent to our house, that you donate to this gofundme, so that we can try and pay the medical bill in a timely manner. In the event that an excess of money is raised, all remaining donations will be donated to a charity. We have not chosen a particular one yet, but we will think about what my Dad would have liked to help out the most. Thank you for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers at this difficult time in our lives. We will keep you informed in regards to a later celebration of life for Larry and the donation charity we decide on, should there be an excess.
