| About | Lester A. Armstrong, 69 of Zanesville died at 6:32 PM Saturday, October 8, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family & friends after a seven year courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1953 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Lester Armstrong Jr. and Ramonda Nethers Armstrong. Lester graduated from Zanesville High School and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass in Newark Ohio after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, he enjoyed playing racket ball, fixing & repairing anything with an engine including boats, cars, tractors & enjoyed boating, camping & was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Armstrong whom he married, April 23, 1988; his father, Lester (Denise) Armstrong; his children, David (Rhonda) Armstrong, Darcie (Keith) McKenzie and Shane Armstrong; 6 grandchildren, Riley, Haven, Chloe, Hadley, Remi, & Hixon; Siblings, Jeff (Lisa) Armstrong , Mike (Debbie) Armstrong and Leitsa Lang; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Larry & Marilyn Arnold; and his 4 legged companion Skyler. Lester was preceded in death by his mother, Ramonda and siblings, Greg Armstrong & Mark Armstrong. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the Funeral Home with Chaplain Tim Patton & Brad Arnold officiating. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. |
