About | Linda Lou Angelo, 76, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully, with family at her side on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Morrison House following a brief illness. Linda was born November 14, 1942 to the late Don and Marjorie Bolin. In addition to her parents, Linda is also preceded in death by her loving husband, John F. Angelo, whom she married January 21, 1962; and a son-in-law, Darwin Soma. Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Marjorie Angelo Soma, of South Dakota, Mary Angelo, of Zanesville, John Angelo, Jr., of Florida, and Melissa (Dustin) Best, of Norwich; grandchildren, Daniel Wolcott, Tyler, Lexie and Christian Soma, Carrie Pitts, Cherrie Birkheimer, Mary Ann Pitts, Kevin Angelo, Devin Angelo, Kendra Gill, J.D. Barbour, and Liberty Best; numerous great-grandchildren, other family and many friends. Linda was known as a true Momma Bear who fiercely loved and protected her cubs. She spent many years operating the Duncan Falls Shell Station with her husband, before going to nursing school. Following nursing school, Linda went on to work several more years as an LPN. Linda enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and especially loved spending time in St. John, USVI. She enjoyed spending time on the computer with her online friends, and watching the news. Linda loved to tell witty stories and passing on her wisdom through giving advice to her family. Per Linda’s request, no services will be observed at this time, and cremation has been chosen. The American Cancer recommends that people of average risk of Colorectal Cancer start regular screenings at age 45. Please get tested. |
