About Lois M. Havens, 86 of Hillsboro, formerly of Zanesville, died 2:10 AM, Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Legacy Hillsboro in Hillsboro. She was born Wednesday, October 20, 1937, in Zanesville, the daughter of Raymond R. Havens and Thelma (Price) Havens and was a longtime dedicated member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Lois served her country in the United States Navy as a registered nurse. She worked for Dr. Daw for many years and retired as a lab technician from Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the Good Samaritan Charity Circle, American Legion Post 29, VFW Post 1058, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Eagles Arie Ladies Auxiliary.
Lois is survived by one sister, Vickie Edwards of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews, Debbie Baker of Angola, IN, Tory (Cindy) Havens of Fredericksburg, Mike Havens, Bob (Becky) Holcroft, Molly Holcroft, and Mark (Mindy) Havens all of Zanesville, Dan (Lisa) Miller of Cary, NC, and Debbie (Lance) Stimpel of Hardeeville SC, and a host of cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister: Maria Miller; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Bev Havens and one nephew Rodney Holcroft.
Friends may call 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where services will follow at 1:00 PM, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery where the United States Navy, VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29 conducting Full Military Honors.
