| About | Mae Irene Morrow, 96, passed away at Beckett House Thursday evening, Oct. 9, 2008. She was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Zanesville, to the late Fred and Edna Mullen Cruise. She was a graduate of Lash High School and the Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing. She married Elbert Morrow on June 29, 1934, and they were married 55 years when he passed away in 1989. She spent many years as an obstetrical nurse at Bethesda Hospital and many more years as a nurse in the office of Dr. Bobby Young, MD. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and involved in many other church activities. She is survived by three children, Sue (Robert) Culp, and Julie (Frank) Howell, both of Zanesville, and Fred (Judy) Morrow of Lucasville; one son-in-law, Richard Patterson; and one daughter-in-law, Vonda Morrow. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Kathi and David Culp, Mike, Andy, Scott and Jason Morrow, Paul Howell, Paul, Tim and Dan Patterson; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Phillip Morrow and Kathie Patterson; and a granddaughter, Annette Howell Joseph. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the funeral home with Dr. Richard Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Presbyterian Church. |
