| About | Dr, Margaret M. O'Neal, of 59 Brighton Blvd., died Thursday, March 28, 1958, in Cleveland Clinic from complications of a surgery earlier in the week. Dr O'Neal was born November 22, 1903, in Zanesville the daughter of Eugene and Nora O'Neal. She graduated from Zanesville High School in 1922 and later from The Ohio State University and Western Reserve University. She completed her internship at Memorial hospital in Worchester, MA and was resident physician at Babies's and Children's in Cleveland, Ohio. She also served on the staff at the Institute oof Pathology at Western Reserve Dr O'Neal returned to Zanesville where she opened an office in the Clinic Building where she specialized in the treatment of children and infants. In 1942 she was named City Physican and was also part time physician for the City School System. She was named County Health Commissioer in 1949. Surviving are her mother and a brother William.
