About | Marian Denise "Nessie" Kelley, 52, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Licking Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Nesie was born June 27, 1958, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas G. and Marian Kelley. She earned an associate degree in secretarial science and was employed as a claims examiner for the Ohio Bureau of Workman's Compensation. She retired from the bureau in 2007 having completed 28 years of service. She also worked part-time for many years as a cashier at the former Big Bear Supermarket on Maysville Pike. She was a member of the Greater Apostolic Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her companion, Terry Singer of the home; three brothers, Thomas (Roxanne) Kelley of Berea, Ohio, and Timothy and Terry Kelley of Zanesville; Chastity (Don) Gibson; Joe Altier; several nieces; great nieces and nephews; grandchildren; many cousins, relatives, and a host of friends; neighbors and co-workers whose lives were touched by her friendship. She will also be missed by her treasured pet, her dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Thelma Kelley and Edward and Catherine Guy; and two uncles, Charles Kelley and Edward Guy. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers from the Licking County Hospice for their tender care and support during the past few months. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. |
