About Marianna L. Hagan, 89 of Primrose Care Center, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2022 at Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville. Hanna was born on May 6, 1933 in Blue Rock, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Earl and Bernice (Jackson) Sheperd. Hanna is a member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church and the First Christian Church of Zanesville. She worked as Director of Admissions for Good Samaritan Hospital from 1963 to 1983, the First National Bank of Zanesville from1951 to 1958, the Watkins Flower Shop, and for the Unique and Catchie Gift Shop in Dresden. She is a member and past president of the Good Samaritan Charites Circle, a member of the American Business Women Association and volunteer ladies of the Muskingum County Home. Hanna is survived by her two step daughters, Barbara Bonifield and Karen Hagan, both of Zanesville; five step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren; her cousin, Nancy (Jim) Robinson of Howard, Ohio and her good friends, Pat James and Barbara White. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hagan who passed away November 1, 2000. Visitations will be 11 to 1 Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will held at 1 pm with Rev. Laureen Roe officiating the service. She will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery with her parents.
