| About | NEWARK: Marie Annette Spinks, 73, of Newark, died October 1, 2011 at Flint Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation in Newark. Mrs. Spinks was born February 3, 1938 in Zanesville to the late Richard and Eloise M. (Clapper) Parry. Mrs. Spinks was a devoted wife and mother; she enjoyed caring for her husband and children. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her children, Vicky (Dave) Lusetti of Frazeysburg, Tom Spinks of Columbus, Bernie (Rhonda) Spinks of Newark; grandchildren, Emily, Abbey, Cameron, Madison, Hunter, Ashley and Jennifer; a great granddaughter, Amelia; brothers, Alan (Nancy) Parry of Quakertown, PA, John (Pam) Carpenter of Birmingham, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Thomas Spinks, whom she married December 23, 1956 and who died March 24, 2007. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. A funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association . |
