About | Marilyn Glenn, 78, of Columbus, passed away January 22, 2022 after a short illness. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on August 31, 1943 to Charles and Ella (Mills) Barker. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life of 55 years, Dale Glenn. She graduated from Good Samaritan Nursing School in 1963. She later graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in nursing. She was a nurse at Ohio State for 25 years before retiring. She was active in The Ohio Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, serving as president. She was a gifted crafter and baker, winning over 50 ribbons at The Ohio State fair. She was also an avid quilter. She taught many quilting classes and loved sharing her love of quilts with many people. She loved her family fiercely and especially enjoyed being Nana to her three grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Gayle (Kevin) Snyder; son, Bill (Ann) Glenn; daughter, Carey (Matthew) Evans; grandchildren, Noah Evans, Hannah Evans, and Sam Glenn; sister in law, Barbara Glenn; brother and sister in law, George and Joy Glenn; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Douglas Barker. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27, from 5pm to 8pm. A Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Matthew Evans will be held at the same location on Friday, January 28, at 10am. Private family graveside service will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park in Zanesville, Ohio. |
