Marlene Adams Parrish, 90, was called to her eternal home on June 1st, 2022, IN Virginia Beach, VA. Born on February 19, 1932, she was the eldest child of the late Seth M. Adams and Gladys Coultrap Adams. Until 2019, Marlene made Zanesville, Ohio, her lifelong home. It was then that she moved to Virginia to be with her eldest daughter, Jayna. She was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ and a 1950 graduate of Lash High School. Over the years, many were appreciative recipients of her gift as a seamstress. She contributed to the creation of hundreds of costumes for the Marjorie Holzschuher Dance Studio. Likewise, she enjoyed supporting the ZHS Devilettes for many years as wardrobe manager and event chaperone. Marlene is survived by her three daughters: Jayna (Gary) Wilson of Chesapeake, VA; Joni Klarin of Frisco, TX; and Lori Lana of Milford, OH, as well as brother David Gary Adams of NYC/CT. Marlene will join her beloved brother Seth (Budd) M. Adams who passed away in July of 2018. Left to cherish her memory are many precious nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren, soon to be four great grandchildren, and a dear family friend, Ed Closson. Marlene will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park with her family and infant daughter Lisa. |
