About | Marshall Roberts was born June 8, 1895 to John T. and Mary E. (Grimsley) Roberts in White Cottage, Muskingum County, Ohio. He was the brother of Forest E. & Ernest M. Roberts; Mrs. Alice E. McLain He was single. Member of Methodist Episcopal Church and Dennison University College Fraternity. Educated at Zanesville High School, Class of 1914 and The Ohio State University. He enlisted at Columbus on April 27, 1918 and sent to Camp Sherman. Assigned to Co. D, Development Bn. No. 2. Sergeant. Stricken with disease while there and died Oct. 3, 1918. Burial is in Fultonham Cemetery The young man's home was with his mother at the Lancaster Methodist Episcopal Camp Ground in Greenfield Township, Fairfield County. |
