About | Martha K. Gillogly, 84 of Dayton, formerly of Zanesville, died 10:00 p.m. Thursday, April 07, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital Dayton following a lengthy. She was born Sunday, August 1, 1926 in Zanesville the daughter of Olney and Alma (Young) Gillogly. She attended Shiloh Church of Dayton. Martha was a 1944 graduate of Lash High School and a 1948 graduate of Muskingum College. She received her Masters Degree from McCormick Theological Seminary. She was a Girl Scouts Director in Doylestown, PA. After receiving her Masters she entered into religious work in Fox Chapel and later State College, PA followed by Willington, DA. She retired from The State of Ohio Visually Impaired in Dayton. She and several of her friends enjoyed white water rafting and enjoyed visiting Ireland twice. Martha spent her later years living in Daytona Parkway Village and later Mercy Siena Gardens Assisted Living Facility, Dayton, where she really enjoyed her fraternal friendship with all the residents. Martha is survived by a brother: Tom & Martha E. Gillogly of Zanesville; good Friend: Wilma (Dan) Wolfe of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews including: Linda (Calvin) Snack of Zanesville; many friends in the Daytona Parkway Village and Mercy Siena Gardens including long time friend: Jean Daugherty of Dayton and caregiver and friend: Peggy Bond of Dayton. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Zanesville Memorial Park. |
