| About | APPLE VALLEY: Martha Roby, 70 of Apple Valley, Knox County, died 3:11 PM Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Flint Ridge Nursing Home Newark following a brief illness. She was born Saturday, September 6, 1941 in Zanesville, the daughter of Clarence Raymond Roby and Hilda Ella (Hall) Roby and was Baptist by Faith. She worked for The Weekly Reader retiring following many years of service. She enjoyed her family and spending time with them. Martha is survived by two sisters, Carol Fluharty of Zanesville and Marsha Mulligan of San Diego, CA; one brother, Howard & Pamela Roby of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by one sister: Erma Jean McBride. A caring cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
