About | Thress Lentz, 89 of Frazeysburg died at 3:30 PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville. She was born September 7, 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of John L. Thress and Bonita Gertrude Smith. Mary Ann graduated from Lash High School in 1952 and from Capital University Conservatory of Music in 1956, being crowned homecoming queen her senior year. She was a lifelong and devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church and spent much time daily in devotion and prayer for many others. Mary Ann was a Christian wife and mother, a homemaker and chauffeur for her 6 children. Earlier in her life, she owned Country House Antiques, taught piano lessons from home and at Capital, was involved in the band Rusty Knights, played piano in several area musicals, and worked at Roscoe Village. She was involved in several clubs in our area, the most recent being Rosewood Garden Club. Mary Ann enjoyed a lot of time with friends and family and loved the fun, laughter and activities that went along with it. She is survived by her husband, William A. Lentz Sr.; her 6 children, Derilyn Lynn (Kenny) Untied, William “Bill” (Lundy) Lentz Jr., Amy (Chris) Tanner, Anne (Chris) Yaw, Jane Lentz and John (Marcie) Lentz; fourteen grandchildren, Megan (Joshua) Stephens, Drew (Amy) Untied, Courtney (Darrin) Kreis, William (Kara) Lentz, Jeffrey (Leanne) Lentz, Nicole (Joe) Prostejovsky, Luke Tanner, Brandon Collopy, Elissa (Joel) Skaggs, Grace, Charlie and Lidia Yaw, Jessie Jones, Madison Moses ; eighteen great-grandchildren, Max, Kai, Bryson, Jaxson. Anderson, Scarlett, Raine, Willow, Summit, Caden, Kennedy, Olivia, Claire, Joseph, Jaxon, Jaycie, Hadleigh and Marshall; brother-in-law, Thomas A. Bryan; Brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Phyllis Lentz and sister-in-law, Darlene Lentz and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Alice Bryan; brother, John E. Thress & sister-in-law, Ruth Thress & brother-in-law, Charles Lentz. Friends may call 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday November 20th the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with funeral service at 11:30 AM on Tuesday November 21st at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with pastors Andrew Wilson & Larry Kudart officiating. Visitation will also be held prior to funeral service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Tuesday November 21st. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park. |
