| About | Mary Jo Stehmeyer - age 77 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN passed away on May 14, 2017 at home. Mary Jo attended Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut TN. She graduated from Ohio University with a bachelors degree in Education and ultimately retired from the Garden Grove Unified School District. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 49 years, Edward Stehmeyer and her parents, Jesse G. And Christine Ray Embree of Zanesville, Ohio. Survivors include daughters, Beth (Ted) Briggs of Santa Rosa, CA; Jodi Stehmeyer (Christina) of Lenoir City; Stacey (Mark) Glennon of Crestwood, KY; three granddaughters, Tessa, Erin and Reilly Briggs and grandson, Nathan Glennon; sister Sheila (Richard) Jones of Louisville, Ohio and brother Randy (Vicki) Embree of Rome, GA. Mary Jo and Ed raised their family all around the United States, primarily in Southern California. In 1995, when they arrived in East Tennessee they knew they had found home. In Knoxville, they enjoyed life in the Village and traveling, including frequent summer excursions with their grandchildren. Mary Jo enjoyed stitching, book clubs, lunching with friends and Red Hat activities. A private, family inurnment will be held. |
