| About | Mary Katherine Spragg, 81, 4221 North Pointe Drive, Apt. 201, Zanesville, formerly of New Concord, died at 12:05 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2011, at her home. She was born September 8, l929, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late, Ralph E. and Mildred M. Fritz Dovenbarger. She was a long time member of the College Drive Presbyterian Church, New Concord and had served as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. She was a Certified Medical technologist. Mary was a Past Regent of the Anna Asbury Stone Chapter of the D.A.R. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Carl E. Spragg whom she married March l5, l952; daughters, Carolyn (Kim) Castor, Zanesville, Marilyn Jenrette, North Canton, and Lori (Andrew) Beery, Brooksville, FL; sons, John E. Spragg, Black Diamond, Washington and Ralph William Spragg, Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Gloria (Richard) Clossman, Elgin, Ill.; brother, Ralph (Dora Jane) Dovenbarger, Canton; sister in law, Irene Dovenbarger, Zanesville; grandchildren, Michael (Julia) Castor, Katie Castor, Lauren Jenrette, Julyann Spragg, Kara Spragg, Joseph (Tabatha) Spragg, Catherine Berry, and Jackie Beery; and great grandchildren, Carleigh Spragg and Brantley Spragg. Two brothers, Kenneth Dovenbarger and Byron Dovenbarger are deceased. Burial will be in New Concord Cemetery. |
