About | Mary Virginia Leasure, 85, of Zanesville, died at 10:15 A.M. on Monday, October 21, 2013, at Beckett House at New Concord. She was born June 15, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Wallace and Beulah Mansperger Rush. She retired from Brockway Glass in 1983 as a Packer after working 32 ½ years for the company, and had worked for Ohio Bell for 3 years previous. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church where she was active in the Edna Ray Sidwell Circle. Surviving are an aunt Mary Alice Archer of Westerville; two nieces Jane Ann (James) Echelberry of West Lafayette and Susan Lindsley of Akron; eight cousins, J. Robert Mansperger of West Salem, Rev. David Mansperger of Cambridge, Clare Mansperger of Euclid, Marilyn Sachs of Bryan, John Archer of Irvine, CA., Robert Archer of Grove City, and Lyn Clemons of Canton, MI; and special friends, Lewis Heady and family of Pleasant City, and Jerry & Norma Coyle of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Russell Leasure, who died October 7, 1990; and special friend Charles (Jake) McCall. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 25, 2013, with Rev. Webster Cox officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Russell at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora. |
