Maryellen Erskine went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of March 18, 2012, at the age of 85. Maryellen was born and raised in Zanesville, OH, but was a 44 year resident of Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Erskine, and is survived by sisters Lois Welsh (Al), Dee Wilkins (Robert), and Melanie Hathaway (Steve), daughter Karen Wolford (Tom), son Michael Erskine (Julie); grandchildren Annie Wolford, Ryan Wolford, Kristen Wolford, Brian Erskine, and Leslie Yerger; and great-grandchildren Nikolas Wolford, Brandon and Alexis Erskine, and Amelia Yerger. Affectionately known as "Grammy" to family and friends alike, she was loved by all who knew her. Maryellen loved holidays, adding to her adorable collections of teddy bears and bird houses, and savoring a good dessert... Like her own mother, she believed that dessert was meant to be eaten first! She enjoyed traveling, and had seen much of the USA, and had also traveled to Europe and Israel. But her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, who loved her dearly. A celebration of her life will be planned for a future date. |
