Melvin E. Faithful, age 76 of Zanesville, OH died 8:48 AM, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Cedar Hill Care Center in ZanesvilleHe was born Friday, November 4, 1938 in Zanesville the son of Melvin Faithful and Inez (Williams) Faithful. He was married on Saturday, December 10, 1977 to Carol (Dickens) Faithful who preceded him in death on October 4, 2012. Melvin retired form Mid-Atlantic Cannery (Coca-Cola).He is survived by one step-son Robert Bruce (Jennifer) Newman of Durham, NC; three step-daughters Gail (Edgar) Romine of Zanesville, Crystal (Raymond) Wallace of Cleveland, OH and Dawnita Newman of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters Sharon "Sue" (Ronald) Curtis of MD, Phyllis McPherson of Massillon, OH and Gail Paige (Jeff) Curtis of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one sister Saundra Henderson.Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH. A funeral service to celebrate Melvin's life will be held 12 noon on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home 935 Forest Avenue Zanesville OH with Elder Terrence E. Brown officiating. Burial will conclude in the Woodlawn Cemetery Zanesville where Melvin will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Carol. |
