ZANESVILLE: Myron Eugene Goins, 72, of Zanesville, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 following an accident in Morgan county. He was born June 5, 1944 in Zanesville to the late Loring Stanton and Elsie Lenora (Kennedy) Goins.Myron was a Graduate of Zanesville High School, he then attended Central State University and obtained a B.S in Education. He recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to Ruth Eileen (Kennedy) Goins, whom he married June 25, 1966. Myron was retired from Franklin Local Schools after a 30 year career as a Science, Health, and P.E teacher. During this time he was also a basketball coach at both Roseville and Philo High School for many years. In 1978, Myron established his own business and was CEO/Founder of G&M Construction. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. One of his greatest joys was riding his Harley-Davidson with his friends.He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ruth E. Goins; daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Cromwell; son, Myron (Cathy) Goins Jr.; grandson, Jerome Cromwell; granddaughters, Joslyn Goins and Natasha (Jewel) Goins; grandson, Jalen Cromwell; son-in-law, Thomas Cromwell; daughter-in-law, Cathleen Goins; sister-in-law, Sangob (Wan) Goins; nephew, John- John Goins; niece, Virginia (Jenny) Mayle and a host of other family and friends.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Johnny Leo Goins; sister, Shirley Ann Goins; father-in-law, Raymond Kennedy; mother-in-law, Pauline Kennedy; and step mother-in-law, Caroline Kennedy.You may call on the family at visitation, Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Wings of Hope Tabernacle, 709 Lee St. with an additional hour of calling on Friday at 10 a.m. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at the church with Terry F.Newman and Terry D. Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. |
