Nancy Black (Straker) 83, of Zanesville, died peacefully surrounded by family at Genesis Hospice on December 27, 2017. Born on Halloween 1934 to the late Robert and Mabel (Durant) Adams, Nancy was a lifelong resident of Zanesville. Nancy's bright smile, kind spirit, and optimistic outlook touched many. She is survived by her husband Dr. William Marshall Black, her sister Barbara White, son Steve Straker (Tina), son Tim Straker (John) of Saugatuck, MI, two grandsons Seth and Sam Straker, both of Zanesville. Step-Mother to Stephanie B.Hughes-Ciambro (Richard), Allison L. Black of Boston,MASS, Preston M. Black (Debra) of Nashville,TN and Whitney B.Campbell (Jeffrey). Step-Grandmother to Magen H. Gamble (Allan), Christian M. Hughes, Grant C. Campbell and Catherine J. Campbell, and Great-grandmother to Mary Barnett Gamble and Molly Gamble. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert F. Adams, and daughter Lee Anne Straker-Sturtz. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Nancy Straker-Black Scholarship Fund in Memory of Lee Anne Sturtz at the Muskingum County Community Foundation at MCCF.org.
