About Patricia A. Wilson, 86, of Zanesville, died at 10:29 P.M. on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born December 15, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late William Morris and Reba Hobbs Morris Simpkins. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she was very involved, and had worked for Kroger’s and Nickles Bakery. Patricia was an avid painter, using oil, acrylics, and toll painting. She had a passion for creating crafts and giving them all away to friends and family.

Surviving are a son, David (Jan) Wilson of Cumberland; a daughter, Rebecca (Jon) Gaylord of Zanesville; six grandchildren, J.D. (Amy) Wilson, Danielle (Mike) Mathers, Joshua (Alissa) Wilson, Bryan (Michelle) Gaylord, Maggie (Don) Palko and Katherine (Shawn) Gibbs; fifteen great grandchildren; and two special friends, Dorothy and Mickie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold James Wilson, who died November 17, 2003; and a son Jamie Morris Wilson.

Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at First Christian Church, 3000 Dresden Road, Zanesville, with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Following the service, a dignified cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
