Patricia Ann Wyatt Cox Dansby Obituary

Graduation Year Class of 1958
Date of Passing Aug 21, 2019
About Patricia Ann Wyatt Cox Dansby, a.k.a. “Mama,” a resident of Zanesville, was “added to the population of Angels” on August 22, 2019 while she was in Columbus. She was born July 14th, 1939 in Cadiz, Ohio.
She graduated from Zanesville High School and completed some training courses from MATC. She retired from Casting Solutions a.k.a. Burnham Corporation. She was a former member of Union Baptist Church. When her son Keith started his church, Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, she transferred her membership. No matter what House she worshipped in, Patricia served the Lord to the best of her ability. She loved the Lord. She had many talents, but she was known for always feeding folks. She could “whip up” a great tasting meal in no time. She loved to cook. So often you would hear her say, “I don’t have much, but what I got, it is yours.” She loved to share. Last but not least, she loved her family; it consisted of what she was born into, what she bore and what she gathered along life’s pathway.
She is the oldest of 12 children born to the late Doyle Preston “Peck” and Mary Katherine Greene Wyatt. The siblings preceding her in death are; Aaron, Doyle “Johnny,” Georgia, Mary, Jane, Judith, Kay, Paul and Roberta. She is survived by Sisters Lois “Lainie” (Charles) Goines and Marjorie “Tougie” Wyatt.
She is the widow of Edward H. Cox and Luther Dansby.
A blending of families occurred with her marriage to Luther Dansby. The result of us being with two loving people we, the children: Pastor Keith A. (Dorothy) Wyatt, Sr., Michael (Diane) Cox, David (Theresa) Cox, Johanna K. Cox, Dawn L. Cox and Mary E. (Howard) Fletcher, Howard Dansby and the late William “Topper” (the late Maxine) Dansby were richly blessed by their love and guidance. There are 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild with two more on the way.
One driving force in her life spent caring and sharing was one of her favorite songs, “If It Had Not Been for the Lord on My Side.” She recognized how good God was to her and she wanted to pass her blessing on to other people. Mama Patty- job well done.
