Peggy Jean Montgomery (née Anderson) passed away on Aug. 25, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Massilon, Ohio on June 21, 1934, the daughter of A. B. and Mildred Anderson. She received a BS from Ohio University and an MS from Kent State University and was a teacher and later a reading specialist in Stow, Ohio for 20 years. She moved to Marietta with her family in 1987 and enjoyed an active retirement, participating in AAUW and a wide variety of other organizations. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Everett, her son, Bret, and a brother, Joe Anderson (Katherine).
