| About | ZANESVILLE: Phyllis "Jean" Murphy, 71 of Zanesville died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a short illness. She was born Wednesday, December 31, 1941 in Morgan County, the daughter of Harold Teisinger and Ilene L. (McElfresh) Teisinger. She married Charles H. "Charlie" Murphy on Saturday, November 11, 1978 and was Catholic by Faith. Jean was a 1959 graduate of Zanesville High School and worked in the Physical Therapy Department at Bethesda Hospital for over 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to bowl and was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Eagles, VFW, and American Legion Auxiliaries. Jean is survived by two sons: Jeff Paul and Vince & Kristy Paul; one daughter: Angela Woosley of Zanesville; three grandchildren: Kelsey Woosley, Lauren & Madison Paul. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years: Charlie Murphy who died March 10, 2010. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
