| About | Phyllis E. “Dolly” Spaulding, 83 of Zanesville, died 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Adams Lane Care Center following a long illness. Dolly was born Tuesday, February 7, 1933 in Zanesville, the daughter of William A. Denton and Mary (Wisehart) Denton. Dolly was employed as an RN at the Akron Children’s Hospital in the burn unit. She enjoyed gardening, canning and feeding the birds. She especially enjoyed taking care of her family in their time of need. Dolly’s family would like to thank the staff of Adams Lane Care Center for the love and care they gave to her. Dolly is survived by her siblings Ralph (Sue) Denton of Zanesville and Rebecca (Allen) Howard both of Zanesville, numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her siblings Herman Denton, Don Denton, Fred "Fritz" Denton, Bob Denton, Lavern Haymon, Paul Denton, Loren Denton, Ron Denton, Elmer Denton, Mary Davis and Floyd Denton Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday. Funeral Services will follow 11:00 AM, Friday, December 23, 2016. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
