| About | Polly Ann McBride, 74 of Zanesville passed away May 1, 2015 at The Oaks at Bethesday. Polly was born in Zanesville on May 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Wm. Herbert and Ruthanna (Gibson) Mahon. She retired from Bethesda Hospital after 38 years working in food service. Her job blessed her with many close caring friends. Polly's faith in God began as a child attending First Baptist Church of Zanesville. She continued to be Baptist by faith throughout her life. Polly is lovingly survived by her two sisters Margi (Dave) Godby and Carolyn Mahon both of Zanesville; nieces Rhonda (Kieran)O'Neill of Peabody, MA and Jennifer (Robert)Foit of Zanesville; and three great-nephews Andrew, Austin and Alec Foit who gave her great joy and many exciting and funny challenges during the many years she served as their babysitter. Polly is also survived by many caring cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Polly is preceded in death by a brother Phil Mahon and sister and brother-in-law, Janet and James Jordan, as well as grandparents Millie and Marion Mahon and Anna Pauline Gibson Riggs and James Gibson. Visitation will be observed from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Paul Bugglin officiating. She will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery. |
