| About | NEW LEXINGTON: Polly L. Roberts, 84, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 1:56pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at New Lexington Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 12, 1928 in Fultonham, Ohio to the late Carl and Ethel May Dickson Shaw. Polly was a 1946 graduate of Lash High School , Zanesville, Ohio; she was an Ohio Licensed Funeral Director and owned and operated with her late husband, William H. Roberts, Jr. the former Roberts Funeral Home in New Lexington, she retired in 2010 . Member of the First United Methodist Church of New Lexington and Carnation Chapter #167, O.E.S. of New Lexington. Survived by her son, William H. Roberts, M.D. and his wife, Barbara McGonagle of Danville, Illinois; granddaughter, Elizabeth Roberts of Washington, D.C.; many other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, preceded in death by husband, William H. Roberts, Jr. on May 6, 2011. Calling hours will be held from 5pm-8pm with Eastern Star services at 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 and from 10am-11am on Thursday at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the funeral home with Reverend Doug Widdowson officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio. |
