Ramona Louise Roll Blackwood, 94 of Zanesville went to be with the Lord at 12:10 AM Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a brief illness. She was born November 29, 1928 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Clyde Dickerson and Osia Shriner Dickerson. Ramona was a member of First Christian Church. She retired 1977 as a secretary for Putnam Transfer. She was a former member of the Eagles, Senior Center, Daughters of Isabella, Ramblin Roses, Piece Guild Quilters, American Business Women's Association, Platinum Dancing Divas and also volunteered for the Salvation Army. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, square dancing, camping and traveling the world. Each year at Christmas she sewed a special personal gift for every girl in the family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Tim Roll; two daughters, Jaci (Ken) Paynter and Pam (Rick) Thomas; Grandchildren, Shad (Molly) Paynter, Heather Newell, Wendy Roll, Kyle (Janelle) Thomas & Jason Thomas; 9 Great Grandchildren & 3 Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore “Ted” Roll; her second husband Martin E. "Skeet" Blackwood; a great grandson, Brody; a sister, Nancy Russell & a brother, Richard Dickerson. Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 with funeral service held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Rev. Laureen A. Roe officiating. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery |
