Raymond M. Touvell Jr., 81, of Zanesville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2015, at his home with his loving children by his side.He was born November 6, 1933 in Newark, Ohio to the late Raymond M. Touvell, Sr. & Opal M. Stiff Touvell. He was a loving father that taught by example and always brought out the best in his nine children and made them feel equal and blessed by his love. He was a kind and compassionate man who touched the lives of all he came in contact with.He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and an altar server. He was the owner of Touvell Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning for 20 years, Chief Plumbing Inspector for Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department for 10 years, estimator for Enviroflow, Inc., Plumbing Inspector for Washington County Health Dept., board member with the AIDS Task Force, board member for Habitat for Humanity, member of OAPI, member of Knights of Columbus 505 and Trustee for the Condominiums at Colony Hill.Ray is survived by his children, Roger C. (Teresa Braglin) Touvell, Rayna M. (Tim) Bevins, Audra M. (R.V. Oricchio) Touvell, Jeffrey M. (Sue) Schiele, Beth A. Taylor, Lou Ann (David) Baker and Charles K. (Dori Confer) Schiele; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Joy (Olin) Bradford; brother, Dick (Jeannie) Touvell; and loyal his companion, Max. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Marilyn R. Touvell; son, James W. Touvell; son, David K. Schiele; and grandson, Douglas B. Taylor.Family and friends may call from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM on Wednesday, January 28 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio where there will be a Vigil at 7:45PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church on Thursday, January 29 at 10:30AM with Fr. Martin Ralco as Celebrant. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville, Ohio. |
