About | Reba Fern Clossman Vinsel, 88, of Zanesville, died at 9:25 am Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at the Clay House. She was born September 25, 1919, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Herman and Mary Bertha "Mollie" Krout Clossman. She was a secretary for GE, a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a former member of the Zanesville Country Club. She worked for the Red Cross at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton during WWII. Reba was an avid golfer, gardener, loved flowers, playing bridge and euchre and being with her many, many friends. Surviving are two sons, David (Margaret Sargent) Vinsel of Guilford, CT and Jeff (Penny) Vinsel of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Kelly and John Vinsel of Rock Island, IL and Madelyn and Lily Grace Vinsel of Guilford CT. a former daughter-in-law, Jan Wagner, whom she dearly loved and is raising Kelly and John by herself; two sister-in-laws, Cledith King of Columbus and Lydia Vinsel of Fort Myers, FL; a brother-in-law, Bryce (Bonnie) Vinsel of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews including, Linda (Jim) Paisley and Cheryl (Jim) Balderson of Zanesville, Sandy (Jim) Hayner of Littleton, NC, Betty (Stan) Williams of Zanesville, Gerald (Pat) Clossman of White Cottage and Doug (Tamela) Vinsel of NC. and Judge Jay Vinsel of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice L. "Moe" Vinsel, who died October 14, 2000; a brother, Harry Clossman; four sisters, Mary Schramm, Helen Pryor, Ida Morrow and her twin, Ruth Ellen Wilson; a nephew, Lee Vinsel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Laura and Glen Vinsel; a brother-in-law, Loren Vinsel; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Buller, Burial will be in Memorial Park. |
