About | It is with tremendous sorrow that I announce the loss of my husband, Richard Alan Maziar, age 70. He passed away October 24, 2024 at his residence. He had Lewey Body Dementia, Parkinson’s, and tremors. He has been fighting this battle for over 10 years. He was born April 18, 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio. His parents William B. and Emma June (Garvin) Maziar and his brother William Maziar have preceded him in death. Richard was a 1972 graduate of Zanesville High School and received a certificate of completion for Motel Management. Richard retired as a Journeyman Machinist from Owens Illinois after being employed for 37 years. Richard was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast, loved to travel with his wife, loved feeding the birds and was a lifetime member of the GMP Union. He is survived by his wife of 43 years , Crystal (Riehl) Maziar; a brother Thomas (Delta) Maziar; a sister Sharon (Richard) Hohman; nieces Christine Maziar and Melanie (Hugh) Craddock, and great niece Elizabeth Maziar and great nephew William Maziar. He was a family man and devoted all his time to his wife, pets and home. God gave us a never ending love. I could never have been blessed with a better husband. He gave his all. He was faithful, loyal and true at all times. He gave with his heart and it overflowed with love for me. He was a very generous man, never selfish, always giving of himself. We loved and cherished our lives and love for each other. We had an epic journey together. He will be missed and loved beyond any measure for an eternity. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11 am at the Irville Cemetery in Nashport, Ohio. Pastor Jason Boggs will officiate the service. Our home is open for a celebration of life after the conclusion of the service. 7183 Forest Lane, Nashport, Ohio. |
