| About | Richard Foreman Hartmeyer, 89, of Sand Springs OK, died Thursday January 18, 2001 at his home. Born December 13, 1911, in Zanesville, his work in the glass industry brought him and his family to Sand Springs in July 1964, when he became plant manager of Kerr Glass Mfg. Corp, until his retirement in 1981. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Rita Sheppard Hartmeyer; son-in-law, Carl Weingartner of Albuquerque; a son, Richard Hartmeyer and wife, Maralee, of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Cynthia Burdyn and husband, Richard, of Broken Arrow, OK; a daughter Sally Sloan and husband, Randy of Bedford, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jane Barnes of Coconut Creek, FL; three brothers, John of Long Beach, CA; Robert of Anaheim, CA; and William of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lease Hartmeyer and Mary Foreman Hartmeyer; a daughter, Mary Lou Weingartner; and a brother, David Hartmeyer. |
