| About | Richard L. Rice, 74, of Zanesville, died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in Clermont, FL. He was born on May 25, 1936 in Zanesville the son of the late Edwin Rice and Louise Rice Deutsch. He graduated from Lash High School in 1954. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1960-1962. He retired from Armco Steel after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Zanesville American Legion Post # 29, Zanesville Aerie #302 Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Good Sam Camping Club Chapter 24. On August 30, 1959 he married Shelba Watts. He is survived by his wife of the home. One son, Michael (Tanya) Rice of Zanesville. One brother, Louie (Shirley) Rice of Zanesville. Three grandchildren, Jonathan (Nalani) Rice, Kati Jo Rice, and T.J. Rice. Brother-in-law, Bob (Jo) Watts of Columbus. A number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. One infant sister, Mary Rice. One infant grandson, Christopher Rice. Brother-in-law, Donald Watts. Father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Mabel Watts. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. |
