About | Richard Patrick Conrath, 56 of Princeton, IL passed away on April 26, 2023 at OSF St. Clare, Princeton. Richard was born on June 6, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio to parents, James Herbert and Helen Emily (Psotto) Conrath. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1985. He enlisted in the Army after graduation. He was in Special Forces and was listed as an expert with hand grenades, the .45 Caliber Pistol and was awarded the Army Service Ribbon. Rich is survived by 4 boys, Brandon Vaughn Hess, Dylan Conrath, Dalton Conrath, Christopher Conrath, his mother Helen, his father, James of Florida, his two brothers James Conrath, Jr, Georgia, John Conrath of Florida, his sister, Teresa (Phil) Conrath Sims of Ohio and his long-time girlfriend Cathy Poff, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his son Caleb Conrath and his grandparents, Marguerite & Carl Conrath, who played a large role in raising him. Rich loved sports, in particular…the Cubs, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed fishing, tending bar and loved his family fiercely. Rich loved his bartending job at Eckys in Wyanet. Richard was proud to be an organ donor. Services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Pastor Scott Schmidt will be officiating the service. There is a visitation from 9-11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Princeton with Military rites by Princeton's Veteran's group. Memorials may be directed to the family. |
