About | A funeral service for Richard Luzadder, 70, of Newark, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Christian Apostolic Church, with Pastor Keith Sjostrand officiating. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the church, 22 N. 23rd St. Newark. Richard passed away surrounded by his family on March 18, 2022, at his residence. He was born March 23, 1951, in Zanesville, to Violet (Simmons) McConnell and the late William Luzadder. Richard retired from Mt. Carmel East as hospital security. He loved prayer, reading and studying the Bible, worship, family, and church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, searching for evidence of Bigfoot, airplanes, History WWII era, painting, and avid photographer. He was a member of Christian Apostolic Church for 21 years, where he served in security, maintenance, and played bass in band/orchestra. He was a member of the Knights Templar, and NRA. He could fix anything with a little super glue and duct tape. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Venita A. (Hartley) Luzadder; daughter, Jessica Martincic of Norwich; stepson, Bill Barrett of CA; stepdaughters, Melissa (Tim) Scharf of PA and Amber (Joshua) Berntsen of FL; siblings, William (Jane) Luzadder of Delaware and Vicki (Eric) Stuart of New Mexico; six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews better known as the “Fan Cub”. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, David Luzadder, and stepfather, Gant McConnell. |
