About | Ricky Lee Watson, 68, was a loving husband, uncle, father and grandfather, who made those around him giggle with happiness. He suddenly passed on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. He was born January 31, 1953 to the late William and Virginia (Dunmead) Watson of Zanesville. He graduated first in his class with honors from Mid-East Vocational School in 1971. Rick is survived by his wife, Christy Watson; a son Kevin (Sonya) Watson; daughters: Annette (John) Wilcox and Hayley (Joe) Keffer; grandchildren: Austin Bates, Dakota (Lydia) Watson, Easton Wilcox, Hannah Jordan, Hunter Jordan, Katlyn Watson and Chezney Wilcox. He is also survived by his brothers: Donnie Watson, David Watson; sisters: Becky Boothe, Cathy (Neal) Greiner; sister in law Valerie Watson and was also loved by many nieces and nephews. He also had many family like friendships, some of those include Mike and Trudi Lecocq, Jimmy (Angie) Devoll and Ronda (Noah) Hartley, who were like children to him. He loved being surrounded by family and friends every weekend with his signature Kool cup and spoon; filled with 7Up and Black Velvet. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: William L. Watson and Robert Watson Sr.; and brother in law Dave Boothe. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 30 with Pastor Trevor Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. |
