| About | Rita J Johnson, 73 of Zanesville, died 11:06 AM Wednesday, April 25, 2012 surrounded by her family at Genesis Good Samaritan CCU following a brief illness. She was born Thursday, September 7, 1938 in Zanesville, the daughter of Cecil L. & Gertrude A. (Viney) Johnson. Rita was a very dedicated and faithful Christian servant who loved the Lord and attended the Christian Nation Church. Rita retired from NCA following 20 years of service. Following her retirement she was employed by Z Bus as a receptionist. Rita was devoted to her family and her work. She had strong work ethic and a great sense of humor who never met a stranger. She was very active with her grandchildren and was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. Rita is survived by one daughter: Janet Long of Zanesville; three grandsons: Granger Long, Anderson Long both of Zanesville and Zack Long of Columbus; one brother: Richard (Pauline) Johnson of Zanesville; one nephew: Richie Johnson of Somerset and two great nephews: Tyler and Damian. Rita was preceded in death by her parents. |
