| About | Robert C. Tate , 70, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his home. He was born February 1, 1942 in Zanesville to the late Chauncey William and Grace Elizabeth (McDowell) Tate. He served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps and was retired from AK Steel after 35 years of service. He is survived by his sons, Robert Tate of Columbus and Roland (Michelle) Tate of Chesapeake, Va.; daughters, Denise L. Tate of Arkansas and Angela Thompkins of Zanesville; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde (Patty) Tate and sister, Helen 'Susie' Tate of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, John William Tate and sister, Bernadine Thomas. Cremation has been chosen with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. |
