About | FRAZEYSBURG: Robert "Chad" Barrick, 93, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday evening, March 3, 2012 at his home. Born October 5, 1918 in Zanesville, Ohio he was the son of the late Harold C. and Wilma W. (Cooper) Barrick and was a graduate of Lash High School. He also attended Muskingum College for two years. Mr. Barrick was a veteran having served in both the Navy and the Army. He received three bronze stars and a Purple Heart for his service in the European Theater of World War II. Mr. Barrick retired from Zanesville Mould Company where he was a maintenance electrician and he also work many years as a self-employed electrician. He was a member of the Muskingum Presbyterian Church, a life member of VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29 of Zanesville, Frazeysburg Revitalization Association, the National Rifle Association and the Deathwind Long Rifle Association. He enjoyed coin collecting and reading. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Ann L. (Conradi) Barrick whom he married February 27, 1946; two sons, Douglas G. (Melanie) Barrick of Glenford, Ohio and Jeffrey S. (Melanie) Barrick of Arab, Alabama; one daughter, Sandra L. (Lannie) White of Delaware, Ohio; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one great grandchild. Memorial services will be 11:00am Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Muskingum Presbyterian Church, 4545 Gorsuch Road, Nashport with the Rev. James Story officiating. |
