About | Robert (Bob) Eugene Wiley, age 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 29, 2022 in Westerville, Ohio. He was the only child of Ammon Eldon and Elsie Long Wiley from Zanesville, Ohio. He lived many years with his loving grannie, Alice Wiley. Bob attended Zanesville City Schools and lived in Zanesville, Ohio most of his life. He moved to Westerville, Ohio 8 years ago to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He was the husband of Sherry Lou (Honnold) Wiley for 68 years, the father of deceased daughter Sheryl Jean Prince (Randy) of Zanesville, OH, sons Lyle Eugene Wiley (Kimberly) of Westerville, OH, and Michael Robert Wiley (Denise) of Newark, OH, and a stillborn son, Daniel Eugene Wiley. He was the grandfather of Melissa Rutter, Timothy Prince, Jordan Wiley (Meredith) and Mikaila Washburn (Kyle). He was a great grandfather to Liam Huff and Jack Wiley. Bob played semi-pro football for Y-City. He was inducted into the Maysville Hall of Merit as a coach. He was a drummer and belonged to the Muskingum County Hall of Fame. Bob loved to jog and even after becoming an amputee in an accident, he pursued an active exercise program. Bob was in the Army National Guard and had an honorable discharge in 1952. He was a mentor to numerous young people. He coached junior high football for several years. He was an elder at North Terrace Church of Christ in Zanesville, OH for many years where he loved working with the youth. He retired from Zanesville Mould after 39 years. Bob was a member of Westerville Christian Church. He loved his Lord and served Him faithfully since 1951. |
